Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is in process of launching her own label.
The 33-year-old British model and actress has confirmed the news saying that she will soon make a formal announcement in this regard. "It is true I am planning a label. It's too early to give any details right now. But I will make an announcement soon," Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency quoted Kaif as saying.
A source close to Kaif is quoted by media as saying that the "Fitoor" actress has been toying with the idea for a long time. She is currently holding discussion with top fashion brands for possible tie ups, according to the source. "While not much is known at this stage, the project seems exciting. She has also been in discussions to tie up with big brands in different spheres, where she feels she will be able to create things that reflect her personality," Hindustan Times newspaper quoted the source as saying.
Kaif is not the first Bollywood actress to have own fashion label. Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bipasha Basu, Sonam Kapoor, Malaika Arora are among the Bollywood's leading actress who already have their own clothing line.
Kaif, who was last seen in "Baar Baar Dekho" opposite Sidharth Malhotra, is currently busy shooting for her next "Jagga Jasoos" opposite her former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. She also signed sequel of 2011 blockbuster "Ek Tha Tiger" - "Tiger Zinda Hai" - opposite her another ex boyfriend superstar Salman Khan. She is hoping to revive her struggling Bollywood career with these two movies.
