Bollywood actresses Parineeti Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz are likely to star opposite Varun Dhawan in "Judwa 2."
Media reports revealed that Chopra and D'Cruz had been roped in to play female leads in the movie. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard. Earlier, it was reported that Shradha Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez would play female leads in the movie opposite Dhawan,Times of India reported. It was also speculated that Kriti Sanon and Alia Bhatt had been approached for the movie.
D'Cruz and Dhawan worked together in 2014 hit romance drama "Main Tera Hero." Chopra was recently seen with Dhawan in "Jaaneman Aah" song from "Dishoom" movie. The 29-year-old "Badlapur" actor is currently busy shooting for his next "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" opposite Alia Bhatt in Kota, Rajasthan. Dhawan and Bhatt will also join for their another movie "Sudhi" after "Badrinath Ki Dulhania." Dhawan is reportedly roped in to do third installment of successful dance drama "ABCD" opposite Katrina Kaif.
"Judwa 2" is a sequel of 1997 superhit movie "Judwa," in which superstar Salman Khan played male lead opposite Karishma Kapoor and Rambha. Dhawan will be seen in place of Khan in the movie, reported Hindustan Times. The makers of "Judwa 2" last week announced the release date of the movie. It is slated to release on September 29 next year. Produced under the banner of Nadiawala Grandson Entertainment, "Judwa 2" will be directed by David Dhawan.
