Cool J and Renee Felice Smith attend the CBS' 'NCIS: Los Angeles' celebrates the filming of their 100th episode held at Paramount Studios on August 23, 2013 in Hollywood, California.

"NCIS" LA might have just hinted a retirement for Hetty (Linda Hunt) after a presumably major shake-up within the bureaucracy. According to the show's official synopsis, the agency failed to locate the mole among them that is why Duggan insisted on a takeover.

As shown in teaser, the team congregate when Under Secretary of Defense Corbin Duggan (Jackson Hurst) announces a "handover." Sam (LL Cool J) then muses in disbelief while Callen (Chris O'Donnell) asks Hetty if she has a plan, to which she replied, ""Actually, I do. It's called retirement."

"NCIS LA" will pick up right where Season 7 left off which will lead them on a dangerous mission in Syria. The new season will reportedly have a 1-hour premiere with two episodes titled, "High Value Target" and "Belly of the Beast," TV Line reported. The team will reportedly have save an agent who is severely injured.

In an interview, LL Cool J teased that the upcoming season will be exciting because of some leadership changes. He went to encourage those who have not seen the show to watch it and said that he believes the new season will be a lot of fun," Parade reported.

"There's a mole in the house. There are some character changes. Some characters get eliminated. It's going to be not business as usual, but, I think, exciting for NCIS: Los Angeles fans."

He went to say that the entire crew of the series did a good job in accommodating Daniela Ruah's (Kensi Blye) pregnancy "without removing her from what happens." Ruah is currently on maternity leave in real life.
