A young actress will join the much-awaited "The Originals" Season 4, who could be the key to awaken the Mikaelsons from deep slumber. During the San Diego Comic-Con, the production revealed actress Summer Fontana will join the cast to take the role of grown-up Hope.
According to TV Line, the new installment will have a five-year time jump from its previous seasons, which means that Hayley and Klaus' daughter is all grown-up in "The Originals" Season 4.
Reports suggest that Hope could be the answer to break the spell casted against the Mikaelsons, considering that the little Mikaelson could have the collective strength by that of a witch, werewolf and vampire.
Phoebe Tonkin, who plays as Hayley, said she is looking forward to discover the personality of Hope in "The Originals" Season 4. "Even though she hasn't been around her dad for the last five years, I think there's a lot of Klaus in her - good or bad - and I'm excited to see that in this little powerful witch."
Meanwhile, EP Michael Narducci described the grown-up Hope as someone who "got dialogue and hopes and dreams." The showrunner added the little Mikaelson will miss her dad Klaus, but certainly knows her family is going through a great loss.
Aside from Fontana, "Teen Wolf" actor Keahu Kahuani was casted for the upcoming "The Originals" Season 4. He will take the role of Eddie, who will be the new mortal boyfriend of Josh, EW reported. Further reports revealed the actor will make his first appearance in episode two of the new installment.
With their new Hope, it won't be long until the Mikaelsons be awaken from coma. As stated by Narducci, "What you can definitely assume is that after a time cut, these sleeping giants are going to awaken and they are not going to be happy."
