‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Season 5 episode 2 spoilers: ‘American Crime’ star Gwendoline Yeo to voice character

Known for playing Richelle Yoon in "American Crime," Singaporean-American actress Gwendoline Yeo is set to voice a character in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Season 5 episode 2 titled "The Forgotten Swordsman." The episode will air on Feb. 8 on Nickelodeon.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Season 5 will premiere an episode titled "Scroll of the Demodragon." Along with Seth Green, Sean Astin, Greg Cipes and Rob Paulsen voicing Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello respectively, the episode will also feature "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star Mark Hamill lending his voice to Kavaxas.

It is not Yeo's first time to voice a character in an animated TV series. She also voiced Nala Se in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" from 2008 to 2014. She also lent her voice to Nyancy Chan in "Ben 10: Omniverse" from 2013 to 2014 and Mrs. Liao in "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" in 2015.

After playing Richelle Yoon in "American Crime," Yeo also lent her voice to a several characters in "Regular Show" Season 7 episode 15 titled "Hello China." Also in the animated TV series is Skips voiced by Hamill, who is set to serve as a guest speaker at the Cambridge University Student Union, Radio Times reported.

Meanwhile, Yeo is set to star in a comedy film titled "Craftique," which is directed by Pieter Gaspersz and written by Sabrina Gennarino. The Singaporean-American actress's co-stars are Danny Trejo, Gina Gershon, Nicole Sullivan, Larry Miller, Cleo King, Scott Michael Campbell, Lindsay Musil, Stephanie Cleough, Bruno Gunn, Blaine Kern III, Aidan Langford, Stevie Lee and Bev Willis, among others.

In 2015, Yeo talked about her experiences with TV casting. She told Fusion, "It's so great to be able to play a daughter, a future daughter-in-law, a future wife, a woman in the military, to play a human being, where race can be an issue, but it doesn't need to be an issue."

Before pursuing an acting career, Yeo was crowned Miss Asian America in 1995 and Miss Chinatown USA in 1998. Among the TV series she also appeared are "Desperate Housewives," "General Hospital," "The O.C.," "NYPD Blue," "JAG" and "24."
