"Bates Motel" will feature one of the most iconic characters created by Alfred Hitchcock in the 1960's film, "Psycho" in Season 5. That character is no other than Marion Crane, who in the prequel will be portrayed by Grammy-winning artist, Rihanna.

A&E has released a trailer of "Bates Motel" Season 5 on Wednesday, offering fans a very first look of Rihanna as she checks-in into the infamous motel. People who are familiar with the classic thriller will remember that Crane was killed by Norman in a shower scene. In the newly-released footage, fans were treated to the same tone of suspense as Norman is seen peeping through a hole while Crane bathes herself.

Rihanna has been booked to appear in multi-episodes of "Bates Motel" Season 5. Taking this into consideration, it's likely that Norman and Crane will spend some time getting to know each other before she meets her deadly fate.

Previewing what to expect from Rihanna's arc, executive producer Erin Kelly told Entertainment Weekly that viewers will meet a "very different, fleshed-out" version of Marion when she arrives on "Bates Motel."

"We're taking threads of that story and definitely using them so it's recognizable, it's just where we go with it is very different," the showrunner said.

"It's this collision of Bates Motel storytelling and then Marion Crane showing up into that. He's in a very fragile and lonely place, and Marion Crane is a charismatic woman, she's super present when she's with him and she's very attractive - all those things are exactly what he needs right at this moment."

Rihanna will first appear on the season premiere of "Bates Motel" season 5. The new seasonpicks up nearly two years after Norman (Freddie Highmore) murdered his mother. He's now a grown man, living a double life. Publicly he's a happy and well-adjusted member of the White Pine Bay community, but at home he struggles; his violent blackouts continue to increase as "Mother" (Vera Farmiga) threatens to take over his mind completely. Meanwhile, Dylan (Max Thieriot) and Emma (Olivia Cooke), now with lives of their own, soon find themselves drawn back into Norman's insanity, while a vengeful Romero (Nestor Carbonell) hungers for a chance to destroy his stepson.

"Bates Motel" Season 5 premieres on Monday, Feb. 20 on A&E.
