Love will take over National City this coming Valentine's Day on "Supergirl."
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, the DC superhero series has plotted a special romantic hour for two of its central characters, Alex and Maggie, on the show's Feb. 13th episode. The site reveals that viewers will find a super excited Alex for her first Valentine's Day celebration with a girlfriend, but apparently Maggie is not a huge fan of the occasion which will lead to the couple's first real fight.
However, viewers can expect to see Maggie making it up to Alex by "recreating" a romantic date night. A first look photo of Maggie's grand romantic gesture was also released, which sees Alex wearing a corsage. There's no word yet if the episode will also find Kara embarking on a lovey-dovey kind of night with a special someone.
Next monday's episode of "Supergirl" titled "'We Can Be Heroes" will mark the return of Livewire (Brit Morgan). According to the official synopsis, viewers will find the returning Big Bad breaking out of prison which will lead Supergirl to recapture her. The hour will also see Livewire attacking NCPD, but things will go south when Mon-El puts Supergirl before the citizens of National City.
On James' orbit, viewers will find him finally coming clean about his secret to Kara.
In other most recent developments, the villain for Supergirl's musical crossover with "The Flash" was finally announced. TV Line reported that Glee alum Darren Criss has been tapped to play the role of the Music Meister, a character from the comics known for hypnotizing people with his singing voice. The musical will kickoff on Supergirl's March 20th episode and will conclude on The Flash's March 21st - aptly titled "Duet."
"Supergirl" stars Melissa Benoist, Chris Wood, Mehcad Brooks, Jeremy Jordan and Chyler Leigh. Season 2 airs every Monday at 9PM on the CW.
