If rumors are to be believed, the design of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is already finalized. Images of the Korean company's new flagship have also leaked around the web. Looking at the images, it would seem that the Galaxy S8 will go sans the physical home button that is notable of all Samsung phones.

Samsung Galaxy S8 might be without a physical button

As reported by Android Headlines, both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus would go without a physical home button judging by the earlier images leaked into the web. The reason why this is a strong speculation is because the rumor itself surfaced in South Korea where Samsung's main headquarters is located. As far as smartphone users are used to, the physical home button is one of the trademarks of Samsung phones. Removing it might prove interesting for users who have been used to it. If proven true, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be the first Galaxy S smartphones that will go without the iconic home button.

More rumors on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus

Aside from having no physical home button, the Galaxy S8 is also rumored to sport just a single camera sensor on the rear. GSMArena noted that this decision might be due to cost constraints on the consumer's part that Samsung has taken in mind. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus though will sport the dual camera sensor at the back. As for displays, the Galaxy S8 is a decent phablet sized at 5.7 inches. The Galaxy S8 Plus will be much larger with a 6.2-inch display panel. It's another change for Samsung given that they made the displays of the last Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge much smaller at 5.1 and 5.5 inches respectively. On the other hand, Samsung's decision for much larger screens can be attributed to their desire of luring more Galaxy Note users to try their newest flagship. Both handsets might also come with the S Pen Stylus and use either - or both - Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835 chips to power the variants.

This is not the first time though that a report of the Galaxy S8 having no home button has surfaced. So far, fans of the Korean brand and those waiting for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus should wait a little more until Samsung releases official statements regarding the full specs of their new flagship. Both devices are expected to make an official appearance at the Mobile World Congress 2017 by next month and will have its official launch come April.
