EXO's first sub-unit, EXO-CBX, is finally here to give EXO-Ls more reasons to love their idols.
At midnight of Oct. 31, EXO-CBX made their debut with the release of "Hey Mama" MV. According to Soompi, EXO's first sub-unit is composed of Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin, who are giving us the chills in their newest music video.
The "Hey Mama" MV featured the three members grooving to beat of the song, while taking a break from the stresses of work. The music video was even matched with commendable choreography and excellent transitions.
EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama" MV now has over 3 million views in less than 24 hours, while EXO-Ls expressed their elation on the debut of EXO's first sub-unit. A fan wrote, "They deserve everything in the world."
Previously, a source confirmed about EXO's first sub-unit, revealing that it will be a trio, Allkpop noted. The report was later confirmed by SM Entertainment without revealing further information about the sub-unit.
A few days after the news broke, EXO's Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin dropped a teaser for their debut as EXO-CBX. The trio played as newscasters and announced their upcoming debut as the first sub-unit of EXO.
Many fans are liking EXO-CBX with Girls' Generation's subgroup TTS, while others are just happy that EXO has finally formed their first sub-unit after a year of hinting about it.
Meanwhile, "Hey Mama" features a total of five songs with carrier single of the same title. Its track list includes "The One," "Rhythm After Summer," "Juliet" and "Cherish."
The first EP of EXO-CBX was released simultaneously in Korea and worldwide on the same day. "Hey Mama" is available is both digital download and CD.
