Brad Pitt is still trying to accept the fact that wife, Angelina Jolie, has filed for a divorce. Adding salt to his injury is the allegation involving him of a child abuse with one of their children while on a private plane last week.

According to FBI, they are now administrating the accusations that Pitt was entangled with. While the purported circumstance transpired on a flight from France to the United States, the indictment falls under the special aircraft authority of the US.

"The FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued," FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller told press in a statement late on Thursday night.

However, spokespersons for the Los Angeles Police Department and LA County Department of Children and Family Services on Thursday refuted that there was no fact-finding in progress on Pitt, Business Insider reported.

It was previously reported that the actor was "verbally abusive and physical with his children" amid a trip on the family's private plane last Wednesday. Pitt was evidently under the influence of alcohol, wherein the said incident forced Jolie to file for divorce the next Tuesday.

Based on Jolie's divorce filing, the actress quoted "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for filing and seeks exclusive custody of their six children. A report claimed that she appealed to a judge to grant estranged husband the rights to visit their children. Family attorney Robert Offer said the actress decision was made for the family's health.

Though the LAPD denied any investigation of Pitt's alleged child abuse, there are sources who asked not to be named, said that the investigation is definitely in progress. "Brad has been interviewed and is cooperating fully. The case remains open," according to Time.

The couple has six children namely Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Pitt and Jolie lived together for 12 years and just got married for two years.
