Tom Cruise will reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in the upcoming movie "Mission Impossible 6" after closing a deal with Paramount.

It was believed that Cruise will no longer reprise his role as Ethan Hunt due to some misunderstandings about the payment; however, with Cruise, nothing is impossible because the production will resume and the movie will pursue.

"Negotiations with Paramount took an unexpected turn with the studio, which was co-financing the movie with Skydance, digging in on things such as backend profit participation," wrote the Reporter's Borys Kit.

It was previously reported that there are two versions why the pre-production was halted. The first one was that the studio is requesting Cruise, along with other producers including Skydance and Bad Robot, to cut their fees. The second version was that Cruise requested Paramount to raise the amount that Universal paid him for "The Mummy," and Paramount wants to compensate him roughly for what he got for the last film.

Therefore, the production was stopped until all of them agree to one decision. There is no way that Paramount is making the movie without Cruise who at that moment is filming "The Mummy" in London. Besides, the script is just being written and production won't start until January.

New reports state that the matter has been ironed out and that 'Mission Impossible 6' will recommence. The production will officially begin in spring 2017, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Cruise co-stars "The Mummy" with Russell Crowe, Sofia Boutella, and Annabelle Wallis. The movie is set to release on June 9, 2017, Mail Online reported. He also filmed "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" with Cobie Smulders and Robert Knepper, and will be released on October 21. On September 29, 2017, his "American Made" film will be realesed.

'Mission Impossible 6' will be Cruise's sixth installment in a film series where he plays the role and has been producing it since 1996. The actor has been in five "Mission Impossible" films with "Rogue Nation" as the last film and was distributed in North America by Paramount Pictures on July 31, 2015.
