Supercell plans to release a massive update for their hit game "Clash of Clans." Ever since the advent of the game, it remained uncontested as the number one mobile game, until the arrival of the augmented reality "Pokemon Go" by Niantic Games.

There was a time when millions of smart device users were hooked into Supercell's winning title. However, as digital stores put "Pokemon Go" up for purchase, "Clash of Clans" began to lag behind ever since, with Niantic Games hitting a phenomenal success.

Supercell plans to win their players back by working on a huge update to improve the gameplay experience, according to iTech Post. The company (and maybe even fans alike) hopes that the game will innovate the game enough to rekindle the interest back in its customers. With that being said, the update could either make "Clash of Clans" a tough competitor for "Pokemon Go" or even topple it.

There has not been any more revealed details from the game company about the updates, but according to some game experts, it would have many major features with some being based on feedback from fans in the official "Clash of Clans" forums.

Previously, gamers who are level 11 and above could have access to numerous features in the Town Hall. However, the rumored update plans to have gamers of all levels gain access to Town Halls and their benefits.

"Clash of Clans" also plans to include free purchase of gems for players in the update. Players would also experience better spells mechanics and clan wars for a much fairer gameplay.

With the new update in the works, it is still unsure though that Supercell will follow the method of "Pokemon Go." The Morning Ledger reported that more mobile gamers opted for more augmented reality games in the future that would require less data uptake.

Supercell has still yet to reveal what the update would contain, but the company hopes that "Clash of Clans" would have a game-changing feature that would be released on September.
