DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" star John Schaech wants to play the role of Wolverine and substitute Hugh Jackman. Jackman just finished shooting his final Wolverine movie that is set for March 3, 2017.

Schaech just recently attended the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in San Jose Convention Center on Sunday. He admitted that a certain Marvel character with a bad attitude, accelerated healing, and adamantium claws made him inspired to be an actor, as Comicbook reported. He is unlike other actors who often prefer to do classic roles written by legendary writers like William Shakespeare and Arthur Miller.

Schaech told the crowd in the said event that if he could play any character, he would be Wolverine. He also added that Wolverine is the reason why he wanted to start acting. He seems to be very fortunate because the role will soon be available because Jackman just bid farewell in his role in next year's third Wolverine film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jackman has been sharing his photos showing the end of his run as the character Wolverine over the past week. He shaved off his trademark Wolverine facial hair. Last week, he shared a photo of him surveying the landscape of New Mexico, where he is recently shooting. He began with his casting in 1999.

Schaech promoted the upcoming DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 at the said event. He will be playing the role of a former Confederate soldier Jonah Hex, who becomes a bounty hunter later on. Other cast members are Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Victor Garber, Dominic Purcell, Maisie Richardson Sellers, and Arthur Darvill. This action-adventure TV series is set to premiere on Oct. 12 (Thursday) at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
