Following the mega success of "Deadpool" this year, its sequel is already in the works. The new film will feature various other popular characters such as Cable and Domino. Kyle Chandler is reported to be the top pick for portraying Cable while Mackenzie Davis is the frontrunner for the role of Domino.

The appearance of Cable in the upcoming movie was teased in the post-credit scene of Deadpool. There are several names doing rounds for playing the role of time-traveling character. However, speaking at 'Meet the Movie Press', Mashable's Jeff Sneider stated, "So take this with a gigantic grain of salt. The biggest grain of salt your tiny little brain can imagine. The name that is floating around for Cable right now is Kyle Chandler."

Emmy award winning actor Kyle Chandler has appeared in various shows including Bloodline and Friday Night Lights. His big screen credentials include blockbusters such as Super 8, Carol and The Wolf of Wall Street. Chandler recently bagged another Emmy nomination for his Bloodline role.

Another development is related to the character of Domino, who is a star markswoman. Sneider alluded that the producers are in touch with Mackenzie Davis for the role. Davis showed her acting chops in 'That Awkward Moment' and 'The Martian'. She is also scheduled to appear in the 'Blade Runner' sequel.  Domino is also on/off lover of Cable, adding new twist to the movie.

According to Yahoo, the shooting for the sequel is likely to start in early 2017. The film is scheduled to be released in 2018.
