Mario Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola, has reportedly offered his client to Manchester United as the Liverpool striker's future at the Anfield is said to be uncertain.

Caught Offside reported that the 26-year-old Italian footballer "ultimately" does not "figure in Jürgen Klopp's plans and will be moved on before the transfer deadline if the right offer presents itself".

Balotelli was acquired by the Reds in the summer of 2014 from AC Milan for a transfer fee of £16 million. The 6-foot-3 Palermo, Italy native was reportedly bought back then in hopes of replacing Luis Suárez, who at that time was on his way to Barcelona, in Liverpool's attacking front.

However, Balotelli never met expectations at the Anfield even with then head coach Brendan Rodgers as he only produced a single goal in 16 Premier League appearances during his first full season with the club in 2014-2015.

Last season, he was sent on loan back to Milan where he again only scored one goal in 20 games in the Italian top flight competitions.

With that, he was deemed by a lot of analysts to be one of the worst acquisitions by a club and a definite flop signing by Rodgers.

Now, under Klopp, Balotelli is expected not to see any first-team time as the German mentor is reportedly not keen on making him part of his plans moving forward.

The report said that he was being dangled to several Serie A squads and even in the Chinese Super League, but no deal has yet been reached for the out-of-place forward.

Meanwhile, the Daily Express noted that his agent, Raiola, has been "working on finding Balotelli a new club".

Balotelli's hometown club, Palermo, is said to be keen on signing him before the summer window ends, but Raiola has disapproved such a deal as the agent wants him to stay in the Premier League where there is more money.

Raiola is the very same agent that worked out the acquisitions of Zlatan Ibrahimović, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba, and he wants to add Balotelli to his list of clients playing for the Red Devils.

The report mentioned that Ibrahimović is like an uncle to Balotelli as both had been teammates under Jose Mourinho during their stint in Inter Milan.
