MBC Music's upcoming "Star 360" will start with a bang as South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO is confirmed to appear on the pilot episode of the variety show as the exclusive guests. The good news was confirmed by EXO's agency SM Entertainment on Tuesday.
According to the agency, EXO is scheduled to record the pilot episode of "Star 360" on the same day the confirmation was made, Soompi noted. Although EXO member Kai suffered from injury, he reportedly will join the eight other members of the boy group for the variety show.
Prior to the recording day, "Star 360" announced 500 fans will get the chance to enter the studio and witness the filming of the variety show. While the statement made every EXO-L giggles with excitement, their expectations later turned into disappointment when the management failed to open the doors at 8:00 pm as the staff and crew reportedly were still preparing inside the studio, Allkpop reported.
The delay made EXO-Ls infuriated as some of them lined up as early as 4:00 pm to get a slot for EXO's filming of "Star 360." Fans were finally allowed to get in at 11:00 pm; however, the recording was held off as Super Junior's Leeteuk had to be present for his radio broadcast which was running at the same time.
Meanwhile, EXO-Ls expressed their dismay over the poor management and the securities at "Star 360," who reportedly yelled at the fans and treated them roughly. An EXO-L said she's fed up with how they are being treated as fans and how EXO is being handled by these variety shows.
A fan said, "At this point I don't even want them on variety (shows) anymore if that's the treatment they get. EXO doesn't need your pathetic variety shows, we haven't had barely anything for 2 years now and we're still breaking records left and right."
MBC Music's "Star 360" program is scheduled to air on September 19 at 11:10 pm KST with hosts Leeteuk and Tak Jae Hoon.
