Several photos taken during the filming of "Thor: Ragnarok" in Australia were shared online over the past couple of days. While they don't exactly reveal much regarding the story, they do provide tiny hints that fans can dissect. For one, actor Anthony Hopkins will be part of the movie.

Fans will recall that at the end of "Thor: The Dark World," Odin (Hopkins) was talking to his son Thor (Chris Hemsworth) about taking the throne of Asgard. The god of thunder, however, turned down the offer. But as soon as Thor left the throne room, Odin transformed into his mischievous adopted brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

It is not known what Loki did to his foster father, but Hopkins is shown in a photo, shared by photographer Glenn Hunt on Instagram, wearing what looks like Earth clothes rather than his usual kingly Asgardian attire. It seems he has somehow been transported to Earth and became a bum in New York.

The set in Australia represents the U.S. city, according to Slash Film, but it's not just Odin who is there. Apparently, Thor and Loki are also there and it is speculated that they are looking for their father.

Thor is likely to discover Loki's deception early on, but since he's a good guy, he might decide that they should work together in light of the danger that is looming over Asgard. The publication surmises that the brothers would need the wise advice of Odin.

It is yet unknown if the scenes involving the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will also happen in New York, but that would mean lots of destruction to the city. The other character that Slash Film thinks Thor might meet while in NYC is Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

There is no certainty that the neurosurgeon-turned-superhero will actually be in the movie, but one of the photos posted by Daley Pearson on Twitter shows Thor holding a business card bearing the address of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorium - 177A Bleecker St.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be shown in theaters starting Nov. 3, 2017.  Before that, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will feature "Doctor Strange" (November 2016), "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" (May 2017), and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" (July 2017).
