"High School Musical 4" is happening and it is expected to premiere by the end of this year or sometime in 2017. It is most likely that Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron will be making cameo appearances, as their original characters Gabriella Montez and Troy Bolton.
Fans are also excited for the release of "High School Musical 4," but to know the premiere date or news about its release, they will have to wait till Disney network makes an official announcement. However, it is happening for sure as the channel's president Gary Marsh has spoken about it, E! News reported.
Marsh said this March that High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA and it embodies all that the channel stands for. So, they are excited to announce the launch of a search for a new class of East High Wildcats that will star in the fourth installment of "High School Musical" franchise.
Though he did not reveal anything about Hudgens and Efron, the duo is expected to make an appearance in their original avatars. Some reports also say that they will be coming up as vocal coaches.
Meanwhile, it is being said that the plot will revolve around a love triangle and it will see the West High Knights and the East High Wildcats, pitted against each other, Yibada reported. Also, Ashley Tisdale, who became popular as the mean kid Sharpay Evans, has indicated her reluctance to join the project, which is in complete contrast to the rumors that were suggesting that she might lead the drama club as an assistant of Mrs. Darbus.
It is worth mentioning here that Tisdale had said in an interview that Sharpay was an awesome character, but it was not her and will just be a character at the end of the day. Whatever projects she got after that popular role were because she really fought for them.
