"Thor" star Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are seen filming on the new set of the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok" today in Brisbane, Australia. Taika Waititi is the director.

According to BBC News, the new set of "Thor: Ragnarok" is reportedly being transformed to look like New York City, with the famous yellow taxis, a yellow bus, and U.S. police cars lining the streets. Hundreds of Australian fans have lined the streets of Brisbane to get a glimpse of Hemsworth and Hiddleston in action, filming the scenes. A handful of streets was closed to film the outdoor scenes. Producers have promised to keep traffic disruptions as brief as possible and pleaded for patience to maintain public safety throughout filming.

Hemsworth was also seen standing patiently as his stylist combed through his long blonde wig to achieve Thor's trademark blonde locks. He towered over the stylist who struggled to comb his wig before returning to film "Thor: Ragnarok." He was in his casual Thor costume, wearing a grey denim jacket, black hoodie, and blue jeans. He even stopped to smile and pose for the fans nearby. Then later, he was seen with Hiddleston (the villainous Loki, god of mischief), hugging him on set and wearing suited and booted.

The filmmakers of "Thor: Ragnarok" have primarily worked in Gold Coast studios. The production is expected to add about a $100M (£60M, $75M) into the local economy. It could continue through the end of the year.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is the third film in a series based on the Marvel Comics superhero Thor, who is the Norse god of thunder. It is also the 17th film of Marvel Cinematic Universe. The plot has been kept closely under wraps but involves Thor taking on an apocalyptic threat. Rumors suggest that majority of the movie would be set away from Earth, in Asgard, and other interstellar locations.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017, Just Jared reported. It also stars Sir Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Cate Blanchett (Hela), Karl Urban (Skurge), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), and Jeff Goldblum (The Grandmaster).
