After the Miss Universe 2015 mishap committed by Steve Harvey, Donald Trump was quick to give his opinion saying Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines and Ariadna Gutierrez should be declared as co-owners of the crown. Recently, Wurtzbach gave her thoughts about this idea.

Wurtzbach had her first sit-down interview as Miss Universe 2015 on "Good Morning America" on Jan. 4, Monday, with Lara Spencer. When asked about sharing the crown with Gutierrez, Wurtzbach said, "I think it would be a little bit difficult for two girls to share a crown."

On the other hand, Miss Universe 2015 added that she has high hopes that the controversy will give great opportunities for her, Miss Colombia and the rest of the contestants of the international beauty pageant formerly co-owned by Trump.

Because of the statements Trump made about illegal aliens from Mexico in his presidential campaign kickoff speech, NBC decided that they will no longer air the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants on their networks. Subsequently, Trump bought from NBC the entire stock of the Miss Universe Organization but sold the entire stock to WME/IMG three days later.

About Harvey's wrong announcement of winner during the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night, Wurtzbach did not hesitate to defend the comedian and host. She explained, "It's live television. People make mistakes and Steve Harvey was very gracious to apologize."

In addition, Wurtzbach said that she accepts Harvey's apology and she thinks it speaks a lot about his character. Despite the mishap, the Filipino beauty queen still believes Harvey should return to host the Miss Universe 2016 coronation night.

For Wurtzbach, Harvey is "a breath of fresh air." According to Miss Universe 2015 herself, the host made all the contestants feel very relaxed, which made them show their personalities a little bit more that in turn benefitted everyone, especially the viewers.

Since the Miss Universe 2015 beauty pageant ended, Wurtzbach has communicated with Gutiérrez and she was able to ask how she was doing. The former said the latter seemed like she was okay.

Moreover, Wurtzbach said she understands how Miss Colombia feels and she is concerned about her. For her, Gutierrez is a beautiful young lady who is very talented and she will have a lot of other opportunities and surely do very well.
