'Baahubali 2' release date confirmed; First teaser to be out on Prabhas' birthday

The teaser's release date of the much-awaited epic war drama "Baahubali: The Conclusion" (Baahubali 2) has been announced.

Since Indian fans have been waiting for the first teaser of the second installment of SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali," the makers of the massively successful Indian epic fantasy drama revealed that the first teaser of the movie will be out during lead actor Prabhas' birthday on Oct. 23.

"The makers are planning to offer a double treat to the audience and unveil particular content from the sequel which can be released on Prabhas's birthday," India Today quoted a production house spokesperson as saying. "It has almost been a tradition for the makers to make Prabhas's birthday special as last year too, on the eve of his birthday, the makers gave him a delightful surprise."

"Baahubali: The Conclusion" is the second part of the 2015 movie "Baahubali: The Beginning," which managed to do business over 600 crore rupees, becoming the most successful regional movie in the history of Indian cinema. The first "Baahubali" film also won 2015 National Award.

"Baahubali 2" features Prabhas Raju, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Nasser, Rakesh Varre, Meka Ramakrishna, Kiccha Sudeepa, Adivi Sesh and Sathyaraj in lead roles.

Since SS Rajamouli is currently filming "Baahubali: The Conclusion" climax, the movie is likely to be released in April 2017, Hindustan Times newspaper reported. The second "Baahubali" film is expected to break box office record just like "Baahubali: The Beginning."
