Bandai Namco launches its new title "Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade" for the PC next month, but versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have been put on hold.  Although temporary, the console versions will be released later at an unspecified date.

According to Gamespot, developer's Steven Mulrooney stated at a press release that they would want to deliver the best experience with the PC version that will meet their "ambitions in terms of content and quality." Althougha as difficult as it was, halting development for the console versions will pave the way for "an optimized and extended experience when released." While it is disappointing for some console players, it was considered a wise move on their part not to rush developments for the console versions.

Worthplaying mentions that "Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade" features a world where players can choose one of four different races/factions (Eldar, Chaos Space Marines, Orks, and Space Marines)and work together to prepare for conflict. The players can get to choose PvP (Player versus Player) or PvE (Player versus Environment) missions and work as a squad to engage in epic battles to eliminate enemy factions and reach their goals.

Other features in the game include joining 20 different sub-factions, utilizing hundreds of different weapons, and varied customizations and accessories for players to create their perfect warriors. Many of these customization options will be based in a deep progression system drawn from the rich lore of "Warhammer 40,000."

The combat system in "Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade" is expected to be fully action packed with a third person behind-the-shoulder view that features "precision gunplay and brutal melee combat with excruciating finishers." Players will also get to participate in a continuous online massive war to take over numerous planets, territories, and other strategic areas. Forming a Battle Squad with friends is also a promising feature in the game as players get to slice and shoot their way through enemy lines with their comrades and never experience the same scenarios twice.

The PC version for "Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade" is set to be released on Sept. 23.
