The drama "W," aired since July in MBC, is now reaching the number one spot for Wednesday-Thursday's drama. There are many reasons that makes the drama so popular, from its high-profile cast, captivating images and other elements.

Its popularity has reached the level that put other programs at lower priority. As Soompi reported, when last week's episodes were postponed because of the Olympic Games, viewers got upset. However, the drama has many key factors that made audience love it, which includes wonderful cast, intriguing plot, its blending with animation, and storyline.

Two of the main casts in "W" are Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo. Han is the female lead who plays a cardiothoracic surgeon whose father is a writer of a webtoon. He is currently writing the newest one titled "W," hence the title of the drama.

Han is one of the most acclaimed actress in South Korea, while Lee is an actor and model that is very popular in China. He has his wax figure being displayed in Madame Tussaud museum in Hong Kong.

The plot revolves around Oh Yeon-joo (Han) and her father that went missing. She suddenly met a fictional character from his webtoon in her office. Following the bizarre incident, she later finds out that she can enter and exit the webtoon which her father writes. From then on, the plot twisted into a parallel story between the real life and the story in the webtoon.

Strait Times praises the drama and its writer, Song Jae-jung, for creating an interesting story. She was a writer of a time travel drama "Queen & I" and "Nine: Nine Time Travels." Her drama always had an interesting plot and storyline, including her latest one "W."

With such a strong cast, great plot, and interesting storyline, it has an average rating of more than 13 percent, which continues to increase.
