Luann de Lesseps of "Real Housewives of New York City" fame is going to get married on the New Year's Eve and she has got everything planned. However, the countess plans to steer clear of the curse that the reality show's housewives have been through.
The fashion designer is very excited about her marriage and is keeping tabs on all her wedding arrangement, People reported. She has said that she plans to make it a weekend to remember and has a cocktail party on a private yacht planned to kick off the celebrations.
Interestingly, it has been only a month since her fiancé Tom D'Agostino went down on his knees, but the 49-year-old star is completely over the moon. She is looking forward to the day when she will walk down the aisle with D'Agostino at the Palm Beach, Florida. The reason she is more excited about the day is because it also happens to be his fiancé's fiftieth birthday.
It may be mentioned here that this is Lessep's second marriage. She eloped with French count Alexandre de Lesseps in 1993 but they separated in 2009. Nonetheless, this time, she is cautious and making all the efforts to make her marriage work. She plans to have a traditional wedding presided over by a catholic priest.
To avoid the "Real Housewives" curse, she has declared it to be a private affair. While talking to E! News, she said that she adores Tom and wants him to be happy. Referring to him, she said that he is a private person and she respects it and this is why her wedding won't be a televised affair. Talking about the pressure of being a celebrity, she stated that it is unfortunate that the housewives feel pressurized to talk about their personal matters.
According to her, many of these women do not have much going on in their life and thus, are forced to talk about divorce and what they are going through in their personal lives. Still, she believes that one should not air one's dirty laundry on television as one's family is more important than the reality TV life.
