Marvel fans are both excited and sad upon hearing the confirmation of "Wolverine 3." People are excited that Hugh Jackman would yet again reprise his role as Wolverine, though fans are also saddened by the fact that this would be the last time that the actor would have a standalone film.

According to Ecumenical News, aside from Jackman, Patrick Stewart would also be retiring as Professor X. It is believed that he would be reprising his role for the very last time in the upcoming "Wolverine 3" film.

During an interview with the veteran actor, he stated that it was a great experience to reprise the role of Professor X seven times in different Marvel movies, but he also feels like it's already time to give it a rest, especially now that James McAvoy also plays the younger version of Professor X.

Although Stewart is okay with finally leaving the role as Professor X, he followed up his statement by saying, "But the thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it's the end, it's over."

Not a lot of news about the upcoming "Wolverine" movie is present, as it seems like Marvel is being secretive about the significant details of the movie. The production is surely keeping all details completely under wraps, although people should expect that the production would go overboard because its Wolverine's final franchise.

In other news, a lot of Jackman's fans are worried that the actor might be experiencing some health issues.

According to Movie News Guide, a lot of fans started to get concerned upon seeing Jackman's recent Instagram post, where it showed what appeared to be an older and fragile version of the actor.

Rumors also suggest that after filming for the last "Wolverine" franchise, the actor would be taking a long break from the Hollywood spotlight, which added some fuel to the said issue that the actor might be dealing with some health problems.

Although other fans debated that the recent photo was the actual look Jackman would be portraying in "Wolverine 3," as he is set to be shown in an older version of the character, also known as Old man Logan.

It's still pretty unclear whether it was just a makeup or Jackman is actually experiencing health problems, although fans surely wish that the actor is doing fine and would continue to create Marvel movies as long as he could.

"Wolverine 3" is set to be released on March 3, 2017.
