"Pokémon" fans are in for a treat starting this September, as the October issue of Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comics is set to feature the new "Pokémon Sun and Moon" manga. That's not all. A movie titled "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel" will also be released soon.

Anime News Network reported that the story of the upcoming manga will revolve around a young boy named Akira, the protagonist.  He is the Trainer of Rockruff (Iwanko) and, together, they will explore and have an adventure in the Alola region. This will be available starting Sept. 15.  The September issue of the magazine, which is already available, also includes a sneak peak.

Tenya Yabuno is responsible for the artwork of the manga. He is also known for his work in "Inazuma," "Digimon V-Tamer," and "Eleven."

Meanwhile, the Pokémon Company International has released the trailer for its upcoming movie, "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel." The company also created a dedicated English website where it launched its first ever English-dubbed trailer.  Fans can have a first look at the Mythical Pokémon named Magaerna, a major character in the movie, Yibada reported.

The synopsis for "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and Mechanical Marvel," according to Yibada, reads: "A mysterious force binds Ash to the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion when it falls from the sky. Volcanion can't get away, and Ash is dragged along as it continues on its mission," is the official synopsis for the upcoming movie, added the report.

Additionally, gamers will be able to add Volcanion to their character roster on some of the existing "Pokémon" games on the Nintendo 3DS, namely  "Pokémon X, "Pokémon Y," "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Pokémon Alpha Saphire." It is a level 70 hybrid character, which has fire- and water-type moves, which is another first for the game, Polygon added.

The "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games will be available for the 3DS in Japan and North America starting Nov. 18, while European fans will experience the game starting Nov. 23. However, "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and Mechanical Marvel" does not have a release date yet, but it is speculated to arrive later this year.
