Korean pop band F.T. Island, also known as Five Treasure Island, makes a comeback with a brand new music genre and a new recording company.
The group is now hitting the music and entertainment industry with new hard rock songs, according to All KPop. The group is also under a new production team which is the Hong's Tower, owned by its lead vocalist Lee Hongki.
"I didn't know that our sound would become so heavy," said Lee. "There was a rough sort of feel before the editing process but, as we worked on them, they became heaver. It sounded awesome so we decided to stick with it."
When it comes to Hong's Tower, Lee explained that three were seven people who originally formed the production team. As to date, the number of people has reduced to four with the recent leave of Jaejin.
"If you want to be a part of Hong's Tower, you have to pay the monthly rent to use the recording studio but it was too expensive so I just left," Jaejin averred.
On July 18, F.T. Island released its comeback album "Where's The Truth." On the same date, its music video for the title track "Take Me Now" as also launched.
"Take Me Now" is a hard rock song characterized by heavy pour of energy and power, the M Wave reported. Its music video features all the band members playing hardcore with their respective musical instruments.
The group recently concluded its promotional tours in Japan. They will now start promoting in Korea with their single "Take Me Now," according to M Wave.
F.T. Island rose to fame in 2007 when FNC Entertainment launched the group as pop rock band. The band consists of Lee Hongki (lead vocalist), Choi Jong-hoon (guitar and keyboard), Song Seung-hyun (vocals and guitar), Lee Jaejun (vocals and bass guitar), and Choi Min-hwan (vocals and drums).
The group has won numerous awards in South Korea which includes the Seoul Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards and Mnet Asian Awards.
Meanwhile, during their recent guesting in "Sketchbook," the group shared their desire to continue their passion in music even if all of them will go beyond the age of 50.
