The "Pokemon Go" update has been reported to be cancelled to give way for a "Harry Potter" themed improvement. The update has been scheduled for an early 2017 release date to reportedly capitalize on the buzz from the first entry in the "Harry Potter" prequel series "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." However, the news has been found to be fake.

Fans of the "Pokemon Go" game created a petition for Niantic to create a "Pokemon Go" update based on the "Harry Potter" franchise. The petition was titled "Accio Harry Potter Go: We Want a Harry Potter Version of Pokemon Go" which earned 50,000 signatures so far.

A statement from one of Niantic's developers was published by JTHX News. According to it, the developer said that they will be giving the Harry Potter themed "Pokemon Go" a try. The statement also revealed that they want to do something with schools of wizardry that is similar to the current Pokestops, Telegraph UK reported. They are also reportedly working on the update to have a possibly large scale completely interactive events.

However, the story published by JTHX News was revealed to be fake and JTHX News itself is not a real media organisation. In addition, it has reportedly already published fake news prior to the "Pokemon Go" claim.

To date, no "Harry Potter Go" game has been confirmed. However, a look of what the Harry Potter themed "Pokemon Go" update would look like has been posted on YouTube, GameSpot reported.

Meanwhile, "Pokemon Go" creators are facing a class action suit today. This is after a couple in Detroit has been disturbed by a number of people flocking to a park near their home because of the game. The lawsuit alleges that Niantic, Nintendo and the Pokemon Company must share a part of their revenue to those who own the properties that have been trespassed by the players.
