Veteran NBA journeyman Beno Udrih had recently received a standing offer from the Miami Heat after the team waived him in February. Reports are out that he is set to decide on it by mid-August upon his return from vacation.

NBC Sports indicated that the offer is set at a veteran's minimum of $1.5 million a year with the length of the contract still undisclosed. The report noted that the proposal is just waiting for the 34-year-old Slovenian to sign if he cannot find a better deal elsewhere this summer.

Udrih played in only eight regular season games in 2015-2016 with the Memphis Grizzlies due to a foot injury. He averaged 5.9 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in only 15.0 minutes of playing time per game during that short stint before being traded to the Heat, together with big man Jarnell Stokes, in exchange for Mario Chalmers and James Ennis.

Meanwhile, CBS Sports reported that the 6-foot-3, 205-pound floor general is still on vacation with his family and will not go back to the States "until the middle of August" when he plans to make a decision about his future in the league.

The article said that Udrih is "weighing his other options" at the moment, although there were no mentions of any particular team or teams that are also interested in acquiring the services of the two-time NBA champion.

Udrih was selected 28th overall by the San Antonio Spurs during the 2004 NBA Draft and had played his first three seasons with the ballclub before moving to the Sacramento Kings in 2007.

He had won two titles with the Spurs, the first one in his rookie season and the next during his third and final year in San Antonio. He was a key backcourt backup for head coach Gregg Popovich during those times.

Udrih was traded by the Spurs to the Minnesota Timberwolves in October 2007, but was immediately waived by the Wolves. Sacramento then signed him to become the primary backup of then starting point guard Mike Bibby.

He also spent seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, and New York Knicks before he found his way to the Grizzlies in 2014, being claimed off waivers.
