Game developer Atlus USA has finally released the trailer for "Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse," the role-playing video game for the Nintendo 3DS set to be released in North America next month.

The 1 1/2-minute video lets fans catch a glimpse of what they will experience once the game rolls out. It includes forming new alliances, creating new powerful demons, fighting alongside demonic allies, and summoning demons while engaging in combat.

"Choosing to talk to demons opens up a dialogue tree that gives players to opportunity to recruit them or receive items/bonuses," Nintendo Everything quoted Atlus as saying. "A successfully recruited demon can be summoned to fight alongside the protagonist, but if negotiations fail demons will happily tear you to shreds."

The gamer should aim to gain more experience and increase the strength of their demons, and talking with them will also reward the player with bonuses. The demons can also teach the player new powers - and there are more than 450 of them in the game. Moreover, the player can use the Cathedral of Shadows to fuse monsters together to make a new, more power one.

There are also several DLCs and bonuses to come out following the game's release.  According to the report, these include free add-ons like "Extra Difficulty Levels," which will unlock the easiest difficulty setting "Paradise" and the hardest difficulty setting "Apocalypse."

There are also paid quests like "A GodSlayer Needs Demons," which will grant the gamer access to the Demon Market where they can purchase demons that have already been pre-trained, and "The Inverted Pyramid" which unlocks Cleopatra and she can be used for fusion once she's defeated in combat. There will also be items available like a Chiro Mask and Avatar's Hat.

"Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse" will be made available in North America on Sept. 30.
