Leaks Reveal Xiaomi Mi Notebook specs, price, design

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi continues to grow it portfolio of devices. The company is expected to debut its first line of notebooks along with the Redmi Note 4 in an upcoming event scheduled on July 27. A recent leak revealed that Xiaomi is planning to release a lineup of notebooks with metal casings. The leak also reveal a handful of information regarding the devices' specs.

The upcoming line of Xiaomi notebooks are expected to be released in two variants; Pro and Standard. The Standard version is believed to have an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of DDR4 memory, and 256GB of SSD storage. The price of Standard model notebooks are currently rumored to be around 3,999 Yuan.

The Pro version of Xiaomi notebooks are rumored to sport an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of memory, and 512GB of SSD storage. The Pro models are currently rumored to have a price tag of 6,699 Yuan.

Both the Standard and Pro models of the Xiaomi Mi notebooks are believed to have a 15.6-inch display. Both models are rumored to support USB Type-C ports as well.

The leaked photographs of Xiaomi Mi notebooks sporting an all metal case was first reported by Gizmo China. Although the photos started a buzz around several tech communities, it is important to note that none of the photographs showed the notebooks to have the ubiquitous Mi logo.

According to NDTV Xiaomi is also expected to debut the Redmi Pro on its upcoming event. The device is believed to sport a deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor. In a previously released statement, Xiaomi confirmed that the device will have an OLED display.

Prior to the official announcement of the mentioned devices, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Pen on Monday. The Mi Pen is a conventional ballpoint pen which uses an ink jet system that was developed in collaboration with PREMEC, a Swiss company that specializes in ink formulations.
