Theo James has finally responded to the issue regarding his cancelled wedding plans with girlfriend, Ruth Kearney. Despite countless allegations that "Divergent" co-actress is involved, especially after the hot kissing scenes they shared during the "Divergent" franchise, the actor stands with his reason that his hectic schedule is hindering him from focusing on their wedding preparations, but it does not mean that it's cancelled, only delayed.
James and Kearney both have growing careers in the showbiz industry. Just recently, James has been one of the actors eyed to take over Daniel Craig in the succeeding "James Bond" franchise. Kearney, on the other hand, is busy with her Netflix mini-series, "Flaked." The latter slammed the speculations of their cancelled wedding plans when she said via Irish Mirror that whatever rumors comes from the media will not affect her relationship with long-time boyfriend.
Kearney also wanted to clarify that though they were both busy with their careers at the moment, she was not after the fame. She added that she was in the industry for her love of acting, but she also knows how to keep her feet planted on the ground. She believes that James shares the same view and she respected his decision to allot time for his projects for the meantime because their wedding is bound to happen anytime soon anyway. She reiterated that there is no such truth to their cancelled wedding plans but definitely just a delay.
Meanwhile, James already anticipated that fans were vying for him and Woodley, given the on-screen chemistry they shared; however, he did not want her co-star to be involved in rumors regarding their cancelled wedding plans. Perhaps, one of the reasons that got the actress involved was their hot kissing scenes from the "Divergent" franchise. James already clarified via Dazed Digital that the chemistry fans witnessed during the kissing scene did not imply that something was going on between them, but because they have already become comfortable with each other as friends.
