Jung Chae Yeon and Ki Heui Hyun have made a donation to charity out of their earnings from the show Produce 101.

According to MBK Entertainment, the two ladies, who are members of popular girl group DIA, donated 60 million Won (about $52,000) worth of feminine hygiene goods to the international humanitarian organization, Good Neighbors, for distribution to young women in need.

Jung Chae Yeon and Ki Heui Hyun decided to give the donation after they heard stories about female students who are unable to purchase these necessities due to low income. Jung and Ki were reportedly moved after hearing that these students have resorted to using tissue instead of tampons or pads due to lack of money.

The two singers hope that their donation would help the students, and stated that they do not feel that the money they have earned was due to their skills only. Jung and Ki noted that the support of the fans has helped them to get advertisement deals and earn money from their music, which is why they feel the money is not all for them and they want to give back.

The two women are members of the girl group DIA, which was formed by MBK Entertainment in 2015. The group debuted with the album Do It Amazing. Their song Somehow, which was nominated for a Bonsang Award.

Jung Chae Yeon and Ki Heui Hyun briefly left the group to participate in Produce 101, but have since rejoined DIA.
