(Photo : Instagram) The investigation of the sexual assault charges against Yoochun is apparently being delayed by the complainants.

The investigation of the countersuit filed by popular star Yoochun has reportedly slowed down and is not progressing due to the refusal of the defendants to cooperate with the authorities, according to AllKpop.

C-JeS Entertainment CEO Baek Chang-joo and his father have already been questioned by the police regarding the case. However, the investigation is currently being delayed because the defendants have been uncooperative. According to the police, arrest warrants will be issued if the defendants continue to resist the authorities.

The authorities plan to question Yoochun after they finish with the other individuals related to the case. The singer is expected to be summoned this week.

Yoochun and his agency C-JeS Entertainment filed the countersuit on June 20. The actor's agency also declared that the accusations are merely blackmail attempts to extort money from Yoochun.

In his countersuit, the singer claims that the woman, who first accused him of sexual assault, proposed a settlement agreement in exchange for not going to the police.  According to Soompi, the first complainant, identified as Ms. Lee, asked for $865,000 as she can no longer live in Korea due to the assault and would migrate to China. The amount was later decreased to $430,000 by Lee's boyfriend.

The police have issued a hold order for both Yoochun and Ms. Lee, barring them from leaving the country while the investigation is ongoing. The police have also obtained warrants to seize and search the four establishments that are related to the case and have confiscated items such as ledgers of transactions to shed light on the case.

The police are also exploring gang-related activity and prostitution as Hwang, the boyfriend of Ms. Lee, is allegedly involved in a gang and has been under police scrutiny for the past three years.
