EXO's Chanyeol is set to star in the upcoming film So I Married An Anti-Fan alongside actress Yuan Shanshan, and would also create the soundtrack for the film, which would be titled I Hate You.

Soompi reported that the movie is a Korea-China collaborative flick. The movie So I Married An Anti-Fan will revolve around the story of an entertainment reporter, played by Yuan Shanshan, who is fired for trying to reveal the secrets of a star named Hojoon. Hoojon will be played by Chanyeol. She then becomes an anti-fan, but as the story progresses, she will fall in love with the superstar.

Some fans have expressed surprise about the news that Chanyeol will be singing on the soundtrack for the movie since he is best known for rapping in his group, EXO. Nonetheless, many are eagerly anticipating the song from Chanyeol.

I Hate You is said to be a sweet and cheerful song about the two characters. The song will include how they met as enemies and then turn to be lovers in the future.

KPop Herald also reported that aside from Yuan Shanshan, one other South Korean female star will be part of the cast. Seohyun of Girls' Generation will be part of the movie as a supporting character. She will play the role of a trainee at the agency which represents Chanyeol's character, Hojoon.

A photo showing Chanyeol presumably recording the song I Hate You has been circulating on social media. Yuan Shanshan is also expected to sing some parts of the song.

The movie So I Married An Anti-Fan is slated to hit the theaters on July 30 in China. It is not yet clear when it will be available in South Korea.
