Kris Wu has signed to a new label owned by Jackie Chan and is reported to be finalizing his contract. Chan expressed his support for the former EXO member despite his involvement in a sex scandal.
Earlier this month, a photo which could warrant for a sexual scandal was leaked to social media. A man in the photo was identified as the former EXO member. Two women soon came forward and claimed that the star cut off all communication with them after dating them for a certain period.
Kris, however, denied those claims and said he was never involved in a relationship with any of the women. His supporters also contested and even investigated the photo circulating on the internet. Netizens have spotted several differences with the man in the leaked photo and Kris. In the photo, the man did not have the scar that the actor has on his back.
Many are convinced that the allegations were a ploy to ruin the actors' reputation. Perhaps even international actor Jackie Chan believes that as well because he continues to support Kris.
During a press conference, Chan said that he is not taking back his offer to sign Kris in his label despite the fact that there are malicious rumors about Kris spreading around the media. He said it was normal and that even he is not exempted as rumors like that will always be part of a celebrity's' life.
Chan said he believes that the young actor would still have a fruitful career.
