Actress and musician Lee Ha-nui has apologized to Korean traditional music fans after canceling her performance that was supposed to take place on Saturday.

KPop Herald reported that Lee, widely known as Honey Lee, was supposed to be part of the 12-string instrument gayageum concert scheduled to perform last Saturday at the Deoksu Palace in central Seoul area.

The 33-year-old took to Instagram to say this to her fans: "I apologize. The planned concert has just been canceled. We were told that our team cannot hold a concert half an hour before the concert starts."

Lee noted that noise from a Gay Pride parade set up by the Korean Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transsexual (LGBT) community did not permit them to perform smoothly.

She said that they were baffled with the short notice and that they were embarrassed as the show was canceled 30 minutes before it would have started.

Along with the apology, Lee attached a short video clip to show how the noise was interrupting them from performing well.

Lee was supposed to collaborate with her mother, an acclaimed Korean traditional musician who has been given intangible cultural heritage status. Her mother is professor Moon Jae Sook, and their performance was entitled Royal Palace Opened Saturday.

Many have expressed their dismay over the cancellation of the performance. Some fans have even accused the pride parade of infringing on other people's rights.

Lee is a former Miss Universe contestant and is the girlfriend of Yoon Kye Sang. She has been a gayageum performer for a long time now.
