Lee Sung Kyung gushes about boyfriend Nam Joo Hyuk: 'He helped me be at my best'

Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk's relationship is growing sweeter by the minute. For the first time since the couple was confirmed dating, Lee Sung Kyung opened up about working with her real-life beau on the hit MBC drama series "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo."

Speaking to Grazia (via ilovekstars.com), Lee Sung Kyung revealed that it was easy for her to get into character as Kim Bok Joo and a love interest to Jung Joon Hyeong because of Nam Joo Hyuk. They have been friends since their modeling days and were already very close at the time of filming, making it a comfortable experience overall. "He helped me be at my best condition," the actress gushed.

Indeed, their closeness behind the cameras reflected well in the drama and made Kim Bok Joo and Jung Joon Hyeong's girlfriend-boyfriend romance convincing enough to generate dating rumors.

After months of speculations from fans, Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk finally announced their relationship on April 24. Interestingly, it was revealed that have been dating for five months prior. An insider revealed that they got together romantically after wrapping up "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" in January.

In the same interview, Lee Sung Kyung also revealed that it wasn't easy for her to transition from her role in "Cheese in the Trap" to "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." She explained that she didn't change much in terms of her looks in "Cheese in the Trap" where she played an antagonist. Portraying Kim Bok Joo, on the other hand, allowed her to see the real world.

Meanwhile, Lee Sung Kyung is a featuring artist on PSY's upcoming eighth album. The model-actress will be included in a song called "Last Scene," which has lyrics written by PSY in collaboration with iKON's B.I., Soompi reports. The album will have 10 songs included in the track list, but only four have been revealed so far. BIGBANG's Taeyang is included in the song "Love."
