Steven Yeun returns as Glenn in 'The Walking Dead' Season 8?By / 2017.04.15
"The Walking Dead" is one of the airing television shows where death is inevitable, even for those characters that are well loved by the audience. Thus, the death of Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, during the show's season seven premiere devastated many fans, but reports have claimed that he might be having appearances in the coming episodes of the next seasons.
It can be recalled that during "The Walking Dead" season seven premiere, two of the major characters of the show died: Glenn (Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Abrahams.) This event devastated many of the fans, and they have been yearning for their return. Their deaths got the season to a very shocking start, and also added to the sadness of the forthcoming episodes. However, Screen Rant reported that there is a possibility that his character is coming back in some forms such as a flashback, similar to the return of Abraham in the past episodes. This has been confirmed by showrunner, Scott Gimple when he said "it is certainly possible, I'd be silly to say it isn't." This was brought to topic since Maggie is soon giving birth to her baby, fathered by Glenn.
When asked when Maggie could possibly give birth, Gimple said it might still be a while before that happens. Although many events have already happened, technically not a lot of time has passed during the run of "The Walking Dead" season seven. However, since Abraham's character was somehow brought back through flashbacks, the fans are strongly hoping for the same thing to be done by Glenn's character when Maggie is getting close to giving birth already.
Actor Michael Cudlitz returned as Abraham during "The Walking Dead" season seven finale in Sasha's flashbacks as the latter was slowly killed by Eugene. Thus, TV Line reported that Yeun could also reprise his role as Glenn soon when the show returns for the next season. Nothing is vividly confirmed yet, but hearing from the showrunner himself that it is a great possibility is hope enough for the fans.
