KPop idols Cheng Xiao, Jung Chae Yeon, Solbin open up about struggles as artists in a TV guestingBy / 2017.03.12
KPop stars Cheng Xiao of the girl group Cosmic Girls, DIA’s Jung Chae Yeon, and LABOUM’s Solbin openly talked about their struggles before and after being idols in the March 9 installment of tvN's “Life Bar”.
During the show, the girls shared the difficulties that they have to endure during their training days. They also revealed how they deal with negative comments as well as their thoughts on entering the university.
According to Solbin as quoted by All KPop: “There were many who quit after not being able to stand the arduous training. However, once I made my debut, there was yet another mountain to climb… I always thought about doing well before appearing on a show… Because of negative comments, I felt down all the time.”
Cheng added: “I once got caught ordering fried chicken. When I heard the bell ring, I opened the door thinking it was the delivery man, but I saw my manager standing at the entrance. The delivery came just 30 seconds later. My manager ate the entire meal himself."
Jung, on the other hand, shared that she also had a dream of entering a university. However, that idea had changed when she became an idol.
Meanwhile, Cheng’s band Cosmic Girls were recently revealed to be the new endorser of the Korea-based appliance brand Unix Electronics. In fact, the group will be part of the company’s events this month wherein many giveaways will be given to lucky winners.
"We have chosen Cosmic Girls as our brand models. We chose them to appeal our energetic, trendy image as each member has their own popping, unique color. We will be communicating with the younger consumer generation and become one of the leading brands of electronic beauty goods," stated Unix Electronics as quoted by All KPop.
