The top picks to play the lead roles in tvN’s upcoming TV drama series “Bride of the Water God” were finally revealed!

According to Soompi, Hallyu stars Shin Se Kyung, Gong Myung, Nam Joo Hyuk and Krystal of the girl group f(x) are among the top choices eyed to portray the roles of the main characters in the drama. And to confirm the information, the artists’ label agency spoke up on behalf of their talents.

Gong's label Fantagio also released their official statement saying, “We're currently in the reviewing process. No specific answer can be given at this point".

“Bride of the Water God” is based on the historical romance comics of the same title by the renowned South Korean manhwa artist Yun Mi Kyung. It centers on the story of a village girl named Soah who fell in love with the water god named Habaek who is a child by day and transforms into an adult named Mui by night.

Meanwhile, Shin was recently featured in the latest issue of the fashion and lifestyle magazine “InStyle”. During the interview, the 26-year-old actress opened up about her thoughts on youthfulness and revealed whom she wants to spend her precious moments with.

"I feel like my youthfulness is most rich during sunset hours. It is a truly happy moment for me. Although there will be harsh times of wind and rain, I want to be the one to make a wise decision at the precise time… I want to be a person who is able to protect the things that this world cannot give freely. I would like to spend the precious moments with those close to me," Shin told the magazine as quoted by All KPop.
