It has been Ryeowook's practice to dedicate a handwritten letter to fans every month following his enlistment last October. But unlike the previous ones, the Super Junior member had his letter translated in English for this month.

In the lengthy post, Ryeowook shared the letter was originally written in Korean, adding that he had asked a certain Kun Woo to help him for the English translation. The idol said his February letter is dedicated to his fans who have been sending him their well-wishes.

"This is a gift not just for those of you who sent me Korean letters, but also for my E.L.F. who sent me letters in English... You give me lots of strength," Ryeowook wrote as per Allkpop.

The idol assured his fans that he is doing well inside the military camp, adding that he sometimes watch his Super Junior co-members on television. In his letter, Ryeowook also shared his desire to write new songs, especially now that he often feels sentimental.

"I don't know if it's because it's near the end of winter, but sometimes the memories of my last one-sided love comes up to my mind," he said.

Ryeowook admitted he listens to sad and breakup songs these days; hence, the idol plans to write something about one-sided love. For his fans who are currently going through a heartbreak, the Super Junior member recommended them to listen to Sam Smith's music.

Before he ended his monthly letter, Ryeowook thanked his fans for their unending support even now that he is on a hiatus. The idol also expressed his anticipation to perform again after his military discharge in 2018.

He also reminded his fans with this sweet message: "Don't get too stressed out on your diet! You look gorgeous just the way you are."

According to Soompi, Ryeowook got enlisted for a five-week basic training on Oct. 11. After completing the first step, the idol began his duty as an active duty soldier until July 2018.

Before he entered the bootcamp, the Super Junior member had a brief meeting with his fans on his enlistment day. The 29-year-old idol promised to return healthy after completing his military duties.
