"Grey's Anatomy" is set to introduce a new villain in the second half of season 13.

According to TV Line, the medical drama is looking to cast a Caucasian actor in his mid 40s who's set to play a new doctor in Grey Sloan Memorial. Described as appealing, charismatic and charming, the yet to be cast character has also a manipulative and dark side. No word yet as to which actor will portray the new Big Bad.

The site reports that he is set to check-in on the medical drama in the final four episodes of Season 13, with a possibility to return next season.

"Grey's Anatomy" is not really known for introducing characters who are tagged under the villain category. Although the series have introduced erratic patients in the past, the arrival of this new character can be an interesting storyline to set up the upcoming fourteenth season.

With Jo's backstory gradually getting fleshed out, many have been speculating that fans will be able to meet her abusive husband very soon. While the latest casting intel doesn't explicitly point out that he has a connection to Jo, it's still something that fans shouldn't rule out.

It's also worth noting that "Grey's Anatomy" still has several episodes left until the finale. That being said, a lot of things can still happen. The show just recently resolved Alex's season-long storyline after De Luca filed charges against him. Moving forward, it is expected that fresh storylines are in store in the remaining episodes.

According to ABC, viewers will find Alex finally getting back to being a surgeon again next week. After being gone for a while, he will discover that a lor has changed since he left. Meanwhile, Jo has to make a difficult decision on a case, and Arizona tries to distance herself from Eliza.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs every Thursday at 8PM on ABC.
