"Forevermore" alum Enrique Gil recently broke his silence regarding the real status of his relationship with co-star Liza Soberano.

While at the press conference of their upcoming teleserye "Dolce Amore," Gil said that his relationship with Soberano is constantly progressing.

However, Gil denied rumors that they are already in a relationship with each other, according to The Philippine Star.

"We're at that point na hindi pa pwede sa ngayon. There are other priorities na kailangang i-prioritize," he said.

(We are at that point that we still cannot get into a relationship. There are still a lot of things that we need to prioritize).

Gil, however, said that he and Soberano are very happy with each other even though they are not romantically involved.

"Pero we're in a place na we're so happy. I'm happy... Label doesn't really mean anything as long as you guys are happy," he said.

Meanwhile, Soberano seconded Gil's statement by saying that she's also very happy with what's going on between them both personal and professional-wise.

In other news, Gil and Soberano will play the role of two characters who are living very different lives on "Dolce Amore."

Soberano is a princess who grew up in Italy, but is one who is craving for a very simple life.

Gil, on the other hand, has always been living an ordinary life, but his main priority is his family.

The two characters will cross paths when Soberano goes to the Philippines to just be any other teenager.

"Dolce Amore" is expected to premiere on ABS-CBN sometime this year. It also stars Cherie Gil and Frenchie Dy. The TV show is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

In the teaser, the voice over said, "The phenomenal love team that made us believe in forever... We loved them every day just the way they are. Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away, there lived a princess na sinasabi nila was the faires of them all... Pero ang di alam ng lahat the princess just wanted to be normal and ordinary."
