BTS member V's exit from 'Hwarang' confirmed? [SPOILERS]By / 2017.02.15
BTS' V recently opened up about making his acting debut with KBS2's Monday-Tuesday drama, "Hwarang." The K-Pop idol played the role of Hansung in the drama. However, a recent plot twist suggests that his time on the show has come to an end.
"'Hwarang' is a drama that taught me a lot and gave me beautiful memories that I will never forget," V said in a statement obtained by All Kpop. "I laughed and cried as 'Hansung' and I was happy to be able to live as him. I hope that viewers can also feel the sincerity I did through him. To be honest, I was burdened because it was my first time acting, and I was nervous."
V also added that he enjoyed filming the drama all thanks to his fellow cast members including Park Seo Joon, Hyungsik, Minho, Do Ji Han, Cho Yoon Woo, Kim Hyun Joon, and Sung Dong Il as well as the director, writer and the crew who took great care of him on set. V's comments come a day after his character Hansung was killed while trying to protect Park's character from a poisoned blade.
Shortly after the episode aired, several fans took to online communities to express their disappointment over Hansung's tragic death in the drama. Many of them even criticized the show's writers for killing off the idol's character.
Meanwhile, BTS' latest album, "WINGS: You Never Walk Alone" is taking the music charts by storm. The album's lead track "Spring Day" skyrocketed to the top spot across several music streaming sites and has already amassed over 17 million views on YouTube since its release two days ago, breaking BTS' own record of the fastest music video by a K-Pop group to reach 10 million views.
The song also claimed the number eighth position on the US iTunes chart, according to Kpop Herald. Check out the MV of the track below:
