Sky 1's popular drama series "Delicious" recently ended its first season with four episodes. But the network quickly renews the show for another series while announcing another original production by Jack Whitehall.

Ratings Juggernaut

Sky 1 ended 2016 and started 2017 with a bang through their drama series "Delicious." The four-episode first season was a success for the network as it became their bigger average audience in 2016. According to Variety, the food-based drama series 1.87 million average viewers.

For the unfamiliar, "Delicious" is a drama series with dominant emphasis on food. Dawn French and Emilia Fox stars as two wives of a successful chef. French plays the first wife of Iain Glen and he cheats on her with his second wife. But Glen ends up cheating with Fox's character with his first wife French.

'Bounty Hunters'

Aside from renewing their popular drama series, Sky 1 is also pushing for brand new and original series set for release soon. According to Comedy UK, Jack Whitehall will star in a series titled "Bounty Hunters" where he is inadvertently caught in a complicated situation leading to his participation as a bounty hunter. The upcoming series offers a lot of promise since it's written by Whitehall and Freddy Syborn.

Syborn and Whitehall have shown their knack for writing comedy and the duo is known for their hit comedy series "Bad Education." Whitehall will star in the series and he'll be partnered with Rosie Perez. The Oscar nominee will play the role of a New York based bounty hunter who's on the run against the Mexican Drug cartel after killing one of their members.

Although Sky 1 has announced an original production and series renewal, there is no definite date for their premiere. It is expected that "Delicious" will premiere late in 2017 while Whitehall has also indicated of a 2017 release of "Bounty Hunters."
