Hundreds of fans gathered at an airport in Thailand to bid Lisa goodbye after spending the Lunar New Year in her hometown.
According to Koreaboo, the BLACKPINK member was seen mingling and smiling with her fans at the airport before she left for Korea. Named as "Thailand's Princess," Lisa continues to create a name in her native land.
Not only that, Lisa and the rest of BLACKPINK continue to prove their edge against other K-Pop groups. In fact, their debut single "BOOMBAYAH" reached another milestone with over 100 million views on YouTube.
On Sunday, the rookie girl group set another record as the first K-Pop girl group to earn 1 million thumbs up for their "BOOMBAYAH" MV as per Allkpop. The achievement is a huge leap for the band considering that they are still a newbie.
In just five months, BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYAH" MV has crossed the 1 million likes, surpassing other popular K-Pop girl groups. In a previous interview, the four members admitted they were not expecting to receive this kind of attention from K-Pop fans.
After making their debut in August, Jennie said they opted to wait for the fans' feedback without any expectations. The BLACKPINK member added the first time they won #1 felt surreal to them.
"We were also startled at the fact that the public noticed us and listened to our songs. It was unbelievable," Jennie said, adding that the achievement was made even special by the fact that they started from the bottom before securing the top spot.
On the other hand, Rose said winning the Rookies Award was memorable for her, while Jennie promised they will work even harder this year for them to get noticed.
Meanwhile, Lisa is hopeful that more people will notice BLACKPINK this year. "I want us to be more noticed to people and with good sides of us in every song we release," she said.
