Hugh Jackman recently stirred speculations that his character Wolverine will wear a costume in "Logan." The actor shared a photo of a Wolverine toy figure dressed in yellow and brown suit.

Jackman shared the photo on his Twitter and captioned it "The Original." His post has since received over three thousand retweets and over 14 thousand likes since he shared it on Sunday. The photo also stirred speculations that perhaps Jackman hinted about his costume in "Logan."

Fans immediately commented about the possibility that Jackman could wear the yellow and brown suit in the film. They requested that he wear a Wolverine costume at least once before he retires. The Australian actor has since confirmed that "Logan" will be the last time he portrays Wolverine.

However, director James Mangold has since clarified that Jackman will not wear any Wolverine costume in "Logan." He has since iterated in several past interviews that putting the actor in costume would not fit the film's representation of the character.

Mangold said that putting Jackman in costume would not stay true to his character's personality. The director explained that in "Logan," Wolverine is the type who does not want recognition as a superhero. Putting him in a suit would only defeat this purpose. The director added that Jackman's Wolverine hates "self-promotion.

"The flesh and blood character is very loyal to that iconoclastic rebel who doesn't seem to be the first to don spandex. Some fans may be frustrated, but we're trying to be true to his character," Mangold told Comic Book Resources.

Likewise, contradictory to Jackman's photo caption, the yellow and brown suit is not Wolverine's original costume. According to Comicbook, the yellow and blue was the mutant's original costume, although in the comics Wolverine wore the yellow and brown for the longest time.

Regardless, the photo may not relate to Wolverine's costume or to "Logan" at all. Perhaps Jackman only took a photo of the toy figure for fun.
