"Ouija" actress Olivia Cooke and "Avengers: Infinity War" actor Samuel L. Jackson join the star-studded cast in Dan Fogelman's relationship drama "Life Itself." The stars are coming out since "In Time" actress Olivia Wilde and "Stoic" actor Antonio Banderas have hopped aboard.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cooke, Jackson, and Wilde are added by "This Is Us" creator Fogelman in "Life Itself." They are joining the previously announced "Ex Machina" actor Oscar Isaac. "Victoria" actress Laia Costa is also set to star.

The script of "Life Itself" is written and directed by Fogelman. It appeared to The Black List before the NBC series took off, Deadline reported. When the FilmNation Entertainment bought it last summer, three studios bid on it.

"Life Itself" centers on a lovestruck couple (Isaac and Wilde) that lead a multigenerational relationship love story spanning both decades and continents, from the streets of New York to the Spanish countryside. They are all connected by a single tragic event.

Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey from Temple Hill are producing "Life Itself" with Aaron Ryder from FilmNation. FilmNation is fully financing, handling international rights, and will sell offshore territories at Berlin. WME Global has started shopping the domestic rights.

Cooke starred in the Sundance breakout "Me, Earl and the Dying Girl." She recently wrapped as the female lead named Samantha Evelyn Cook or Artemis in Steven Spielberg's adaptation of "Ready Player One." She also was just in the Sundance Film Festival for her well-received indie, "Thoroughbred."

Jackson was last seen onscreen in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." He has a slew of movies in the can or in postproduction. Among them are "Kong: Skull Island," which opens in March, and the Ryan Reynolds action movie "The Hitman's Bodyguard."

The "Life Itself" project is currently filming on location in New York and Seville, Spain.
