"The Witches of East End" star Jenna Dewan Tatum has signed on to host NBC's upcoming Jennifer Lopez-produced dance competition "World of Dance." She will also be a mentor.

According to Deadline, Tatum joins "World of Dance" judges Derek Hough, Ne-Yo, and Lopez. The upcoming 10-episode series features dancers to showcase their talents competing for a $1 million grand prize. These solo dancers will be challenging against duos and crews in a wide range of dance categories such as hip-hop, ballet, and krumping.

Lopez also serves as executive producer of "World of Dance," Variety reported. Universal Television Alternative Studio and Nuyorican Productions are producing alongside Kris Curry, David Gonzalez, Al Hassas, Matilda Zoltowski, and Matthew Everitt as executive producers. Director Alex Rudzinksi and choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo, who are best known as Nappytabs, are also on board.

"World of Dance" is not Tatum's only dance competition reality show set at NBC. Aside from hosting this competition series, she will serve as a judge and mentor on an untitled, unscripted dance show that hails from her and her husband Channing Tatum. The untitled project from Universal Television, where she just had a first-look deal, is described as a fresh take on the unscripted dance competition genre and has landed a six-episode order with no announced premiere date yet.

Tatum was initially discovered by a dance agent and began her dancing career touring alongside top entertainers such as Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, and Missy Elliot. Then, she recently launched her own production company called Purple Cup. She previously joined Channing to begin their first production company 33andOut Productions, which produced comedy action film "22 Jump Street," "10 Years," and the documentary "Earth Made of Glass."

As an actress, Tatum played Lucy Lane in the first season of "Supergirl," which moved from CBS to The CW for the current Season 2. Her character is Lois' brash, funny, and beautiful younger sister. Her other credits include "The Mindy Project," "American Horror Story," and "The Playboy Club."
